Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti braced to have 'ear chewed off' by rival boss

Carlo Ancelotti has been told to prepare to have his 'ear chewed off' following Everton's FA Cup tie with Rotherham this weekend.

The Championship side's boss Paul Warne believes Ancelotti's 'Quiet Leadership' is the "best book in sport" and he is itching to talk to him about it.

Everton welcome Rotherham to Goodison on Saturday for noon kick-off in the third round, in what will be a second meeting between the sides in just over two years.

The Blues saw off The Millers 3-1 in the League Cup in 2018 but Warne says the lack of a crowd will be to his side's advantage this weekend.

“When we played them two seasons ago, I thought we played well and took the game to them a little bit," Warne said.

"Without crowds it is a little bit less intimidating as well. You want the lads to go out there, give a good account of themselves and enjoy it.

"I want to chew Carlo Ancelotti’s ear off about his book ‘quiet leadership’, which I thoroughly enjoyed and think is the best book in sport.”
