Eve Myles tweets farewell to Keeping Faith as filming on the final series ends

The filming on the third and final series of Keeping Faith has wrapped.

Production on the show, which is mainly shot in Carmarthenshire, was delayed by the coronavirus outbreak but star Eve Myles shared a picture on Twitter wearing a yellow hood on Sunday saying her goodbyes to the character.

The show, an S4C/BBC Wales production that won thousands of fans across the globe and broke iPlayer download records, saw Eve became synonymous with the yellow mac her on-screen character, Faith, would wear.

Ystradgynlais actor Eve also bade a heartfelt goodbye to the show, writing: "With a heavy heart I say goodbye Faith.....Thank you."

She later confirmed that series three had wrapped, thanking fans for their messages. She said: "Thank you for your lovely messages and YES it’s the wrap of series 3..... I hope you all enjoy it x"

Keeping Faith hit TV screens  back in  autumn 2017 when it aired as Un Bore Mercher on S4C. Shot in both English and Welsh, the drama soared to popularity when it came to BBC Wales in 2018.

The first two series of the drama were hugely successful on BBC iPlayer with more than 33m requests to date and iPlayer making up almost half of all viewing of the series.

The show also stars Eve's real-life husband Bradley Freegard as on-screen husband Evan and it was his disappearance and dodgy dealings that kicked off the dramatic mystery of the series.
