Eva Johnston missing in East Lothian as police express 'growing concern' for schoolgirl

Police have expressed "growing concern" for the welfare of a missing East Lothian schoolgirl.

Eva Johnston was last seen leaving an address in Musselburgh's Beach Lane at around 5.15pm on Tuesday (June 1). She was believed to be heading to the Tesco store on Olive Bank Road, but hasn't returned home or been seen since.

East Lothian police have issued a public appeal for information in a bid to establish her whereabouts.

They say she is around 5ft 2ins tall with long, dark brown hair. When last seen she was wearing a black North Face jacket, a black Nike jumper, black leggings and grey Ugg boots. She has green and white braces in her teeth.

Officers believe she is likely to be travelling on foot, and they want anyone who has seen or spoken to her, or who knows her current whereabouts, to come forward. Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3483 of June 1.
