The campest time of year is upon us once more: that’s right, it’s Eurovision night.
For the last few weeks, the most dedicated of us have been watching the various contestants compete to make it through the group stages, then through the semi finals to the finals – which happen on Saturday night.
Among those is the UK’s offering: a band of three called Remember Monday. It’s made up of Holly-Anne Hull, Lauren Byrne and Charlotte Steele, and they’ll be representing us on the big night with a pop song called What The Hell Just Happened?
Though the action this year is taking place in Basel, Switzerland (the winner of last year’s song contest was Swiss singer Nemo), that’s no excuse for not tuning in on the night; after all, it’s going to be on our TV screens for roughly six hours.
Here’s how you can get involved too.
When is it on?

The show itself starts from 8pm BST (so that’s 9pm in Switzerland). Yes, that’s late, but it’s a Saturday: all the more excuse to crack open a bag of popcorn and settle in for the night.

Eurovision odds
UK betting sites rank Sweden as the clear favourite to win the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. The website Eurovisionworld rates the Swedes as having a 26 per cent winning chance.
Sweden’s entry this year is the Finnish music and comedy group KAJ with their song Bara bada bastu, which translates to Just sauna in English.
Austria and France are the second and third favourites, respectively. Austria’s entry is Wasted Love by JJ, while Louane will represent France with the song Maman.
Sadly, the UK rarely ranks among the favourites — and it’s no secret that we often struggle in the competition. We finished 18th last year and 25th the year before.
Things were briefly looking up in 2022, when Sam Ryder secured a surprise second-place finish. However, expectations for the UK’s chances this year remain low, although Eurovisionworld has rated Remember Monday as the 14th most likely winner out of the 37 entrants.
How can I watch?
The show will be streaming live on BBC One, and yes, Graham Norton will be commentating once more. Happy days.
