Eurovision 2019: Viewers hail enthusiastic performance of sign language interpreter during Iceland's act

The woman's impressive sign language was hailed by Eurovision fans

Viewers have hailed the enthusiastic performance of a sign language interpreter during the Eurovision song contest.

The woman was hailed as 'fantastic' as she got into character while signing for viewers during Icelandic act Hatari's performance of their song.

The song by the 'industrial BDSM' band finished in 10th place overall with 234 points but the act caused controversy when they held up a Palestinian flag at the event held in Israel.

Hailing the sign language interpreter's miming of their aggressive song, one viewer wrote: This woman signing along to Iceland’s #Eurovision song is fantastic."

Another person wrote: "This sign language interpreter is channelling some powerful inner rage to convey the Icelandic act."

While a third said: "OMG. Just look at the lady doing the sign language for Iceland."

The Icelandic group is facing an investigation by Eurovision bosses over their flag display which could potentially breach the show's rules that acts must not be political.
