European transfer rumours: Atletico Madrid make Lacazette decision, van de Beek's next club

There are now less than two weeks left in the January transfer window.

The winter window has been open for 19 days and there could yet be plenty of deals before the deadline on January 31, both in England and across Europe.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the Premier League clubs being linked with players to strengthen their squads, with all three sides still harbouring hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

But with less than two weeks for clubs to get deals done, time is running out in the window.

January transfer window: everything you need to know

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer news and rumours from across Europe.

Atletico want Lacazette

Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette if they can't sign Edinson Cavani from PSG.

The La Liga club have been trying to agree a deal for the Uruguayan number nine, who is out of contract in the summer.

However, Cavani is not the only option on the table and Marca claim they will bid for Lacazette if they're unsuccessful with Cavani.

Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer is another name being considered.

PSG want Guardiola

Paris-Saint Germain are preparing a big offer to lure Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to France if Thomas Tuchel is sacked.

PSG's constant struggles in the Champions League quarter-finals continue to frustrate their hierarchy and pressure is building on Tuchel to deliver success in Europe.

According to The Express, PSG bosses are keen to invest heavily in Guardiola, seen as the man who can take the French champions to the next level.

Guardiola has one year left on his contract at Manchester City after the conclusion of the 2019/20 season.

Real Madrid to win van de Beek race

Real Madrid have beaten Manchester United to the race for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The Dutchman had been linked with a move to Old Trafford after a stellar 18 months.

However, Madrid, who expressed an interest in van de Beek back in the summer, have seen their long-term admiration pay off, according to Starsport, and he will move to the Bernabeu for £47m.

Manchester United are still in negotiations over Bruno Fernandes although a fee is yet to be agreed.
