European transfer news: PSG eye treble swoop including Renato Sanches and Inter star

Barcelona are still grappling with the fall-out from their financial problems as they try to put together a package to land Bayern Munich's wantaway striker Robert Lewandowski.

They may have to sell to fund their spending with Frenkie de Jong seemingly on his way to Manchester United while several other players at the Catalan club have been linked with exits.

Barca's La Liga rivals Real Madrid might have missed out on Kylian Mbappe, who stayed at Paris Saint-Germain, but they brought in one of European football's hottest young talents in the form of Monaco forward Aurelien Tchouameni and will now look to tie down a few other stars. Mirror Sport has rounded up the latest transfer news and rumours from around the continent.

PSG prepare to get busy

According to Get French Football News, PSG have struck an agreement in principle over personal terms with Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar and Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca. PSG won the Ligue 1 title again at a canter but the club, backed by their mega-rich Qatar Sports Investments owners, were among the favourites to win the Champions League for the first time in their history. But they were knocked out of the competition by Real Madrid in the round of 16 even though they had taken a 2-0 aggregate lead. The Parisians also failed to even make it to the quarter-finals of the French Cup after exiting at the hands of Nice in the last 16 and their manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to be replaced this summer

Depay on the move

Barcelona are said to be willing to sell Memphis Depay just one year after his arrival. Barca only snapped up the Dutch international last summer, taking him to Camp Nou on a free transfer from Lyon. Memphis made a fast start but struggled to nail down a starting spot under Xavi and it’s likely playing time will only get more difficult to come by as Barcelona strengthen. Memphis’ representatives ,according to Sport, met with Barca at the club offices to get a clear picture of what the plan is on Monday for next season. The result of the meeting is that Barca are now willing to sell Memphis earlier than planned with a £17.2million price tag.

Ceballos opens up on future

Dani Ceballos has spoken out on his future at Real Madrid as the midfielder continues to be linked with an exit this summer. Speaking to Deportes Cuatro, ex-Arsenal loanee Ceballos has states that he will hold talks with manager Carlo Ancelotti before making a decision. Ceballos finds himself linked with an exit this summer as he has fallen further down the pecking order at the club after the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni. There is no shortage of interest in the Spanish midfielder either, with former club Real Betis, in particular, pushing hard to sign him.

Ceballos is behind Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga in the pecking order. The 25-year-old returned to Real Madrid last summer after spending two seasons out on loan at Arsenal. He missed the entirety of the first half of the season due to injury but played some minutes during the back end of the season. Ceballos finished the campaign with 18 appearances, in which he made one assist. When quizzed about his future, Ceballos admitted that he had a decision to make, but claimed that he will first speak to manager Carlo Ancelotti and see what the Italian’s plans are. “I will speak with Ancelotti to see what he wants and from there I will decide my future," the former Real Betis ace said.
