Europa League semi-finals: When are the games and who plays who

Arsenal and Chelsea both booked their spots in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday night.

The Gunners avoided any slip-ups in their second leg in Naples, claiming a 1-0 win on the night to beat Napoli 3-0 on aggregate after Alexandre Lacazette's stunning free-kick.

Chelsea made much harder work of their tie with Slavia Prague, but in reality their progression was never in doubt despite shipping in three goals in a 4-3 triumph at Stamford Bridge.

They will be joined in the last four by Valencia, who thrashed fellow Spanish side Villarreal 5-1 on aggregate.

Eintracht Frankfurt snatched a spot in the semi-finals on away goals after beating Benfica 2-0 at home and drawing 4-4 on aggregate.

The draw for the semi-finals was carried out at the same time as the quarter-final draw, meaning we already know both ties.

Arsenal will take on Valencia, with Chelsea facing a showdown with Bundesliga side Frankfurt as they all battle for a spot in the May 29 final in Baku with a chance to secure a Champions League place.

The semi-finals will take place on May 2 and May 9, with the competition now hotting up in the latter stages.
