EuroMillions winner Adrian Bayford splashes out £2.5m on two mansions in a week

A EuroMillions winner has splashed out £2.5million on two mansions in a week.

Adrian Bayford forked out £1.35million on a country pile with a rooftop garden.

The 49-year-old former postman then paid £1.1million for home 12 miles away in Perthshire, Scotland, The Sun reported.

The first property has four en-suite bedrooms, a gym and a internal lift that operates between the floors.

It also boasts a huge window which looks out onto the house's one-acre grounds.

Property agent Stephanie Clarke told the paper: “It offers great eco-credentials making it ideal for those looking for a sustainable property.”

The home was built in 2011 and was previously owned by an architect.

Adrian and his then-wife Gillian struck lucky in August 2012 when they won £148million on the lottery.

Last month he also bought a £1.1million home in Blairgowrie.

The converted farm has a gym, climbing suite and two lochs.

It is close to where Gillian, 46, lives with their two children and her new husband Brian Deans in Dundee.

Gillian, a former hospital cleaner, was living in Suffolk with Adrian when they won the jackpot.

She returned to her native Scotland with their two children after they split 15 months after scooping the jackpot.

She started a property business based in Carnoustie, spent millions buying homes to rent out and opened a cafe called Sugar and Spice in Arbroath.

The cafe closed in 2016, putting 21 staff out of work, after reporting a £129,000 loss.

She married Brian Deans, 38, near St Andrews in August 2018, six years to the day after her jackpot.

She now uses her new husband’s surname.
