ET Alpha Wealth Summit: What AI, oil and geopolitics mean for the next market turn

Is a global recession lurking around the corner, or is the ongoing Middle East conflict just another temporary shock that will soon fade away? The world economy today is being reshaped by disruptive forces — the rapid rise of AI, a potential oil supply crunch, shifting geopolitical alliances, and tightening financial conditions. Each of these factors is testing investor conviction and reshaping how money is deployed across global markets.

In times of such heightened uncertainty, the single biggest question for investors is: Where should your money go now?

The ET Alpha Summit , scheduled for June 4 in Mumbai, brings together top policymakers, market veterans, CEOs, and global thinkers to decode exactly that. The summit will break down the risks, identify opportunities, and help you navigate the Street with sharper insight and a future-ready investment strategy.

S Naren will deliver a keynote address to help investors build a resilient strategy for volatile markets with “Cycles, Crashes & Comebacks: Lessons From 30 Years in Markets.” Drawing on three decades of experience, he’ll unpack how to navigate downturns and capitalise on recovery cycles.

Vikas Khemani and Saurabh Mukherjea go head-to-head on India’s defining investment question: Will the next decade be driven by sustained compounding growth — or by structural disruption from AI that reshapes jobs and markets? This session offers insights into where India’s real opportunities and risks lie?

Addressing a key market dilemma, Mukherjea will tackle the uncomfortable reality that cheap stocks have largely disappeared — questioning whether “quality at any price” still makes sense in a world of lower expected returns.

A power panel featuring Rahul Jain, President and Head at Nuvama Wealth; Lakshmi Iyer, Group President – Investments and CEO at Bajaj Alternate Investment Management; and Sid Swaminathan, MD & CEO of JioBlackRock Asset Management Company, will deliver actionable insights on global diversification. In “Global or Local? The New Allocation Reality,” the trio will decode how much of your wealth should stay in India versus move overseas amid currency shifts and structural change.

Rajeev Thakkar’s Masterclass: “The Contrarian’s Playbook: When to Exit” zeroes in on one of the hardest and most overlooked parts of investing: knowing when to exit, trim, or simply stay put despite the noise.

This session lays out a clear, disciplined, real-world framework to protect capital, avoid the risks of overstaying a position, and make smarter sell decisions—not just smarter buys.

The stage is set for some of the sharpest minds in the investment world to gather at the ET Alpha Wealth Summit to offer insights about the next market move. Registrations are now open. Click here to join.
