Adam Schefter’s tweet on Chargers’ Hunter Henry sends shock waves

Sometimes the way sentences are worded can really change the perspective of how you really see them.

That’s exactly what happened when ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted about tight end Hunter Henry, who missed the majority of the 2018 season with a torn ACL.

Schefter started his sentence off with “Chargers TE Hunter Henry tore his ACL” prior to writing “one year ago,” which had many in a scare, solely based on the first seven words of his tweet.

The injury occurred around this time last year during organized team activities, which is why the tweet startled fans — they thought he suffered the same injury again.

Schefter was just simply trying to say that Henry looked healthy and efficient during the start of OTAs, but many fans didn’t read all of his tweet at first glance.
