Escape to the Chateau fans emotional as kids are now 'all grown up'

Escape to the Chateau fans have been taken aback by how "grown up" Dick and Angel Strawbridge's children look in a recent Instagram update.

Dick and Angel Strawbridge won over the hearts of the nation with their popular Channel 4 programme, which documented their efforts to renovate a French chateau. The couple share the luxury home with their two children.

However, the final episode of Escape to the Chateau aired in December 2022, in what was sad news for its many fans. But the Strawbridge family is soon due to star in another show.

Channel 4 has commissioned Escape to the Chateau: Secret France (a working title) due to air some point this year. It follows Dick and Angel’s adventures "unlocking the secrets of France".

Earlier this week, Angel shared a snap of herself and the kids, Arthur and Dorothy. Fans who have watched the show since its early days have seen the children from when they were very little, and now many have been left stunned at how much they have grown.

Captioning the post on Instagram, Angel said: "It does not matter what age or height they get to, they will always be our babies!

"We have had a lovely day walking along the beach.. We have chatted to the wonderful Mrs S and now on route to be fed by café grandma and no doubt tell a story or two about all the mums looking down on us. Have a lovely Sunday".

Fans were quick to comment on the adorable photo. Sharon said: "Your 'babies' are growing up so fast!", while Bella said: "Oh my, they're all grown up. Just gorgeous". Tythena said: "Such a beautiful family".

M said: "My how they have grown", while Eunice said: "Such a beautiful young man and young woman [crying emojis]".
