Erling Haaland sent Chelsea transfer message as Marina Granovskaia has offer turned down

Former Chelsea star Tore Andre Flo believes Erling Haaland would be a "good fit" at Stamford Bridge, with the club interested in the Borussia Dortmund superstar.

Haaland is being heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer, with the Blues reportedly having a recent offer turned down for his services.

According to Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga club turned down a player-plus-cash proposal for the 20-year-old forward, with either Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi being offered to the Black and Yellow.

Despite winning the Champions League trophy a couple of months ago, Chelsea lacked a reliable goal scoring presence in the attacking third.

Haaland has emerged as the Blues' top target this summer, but the Dortmund star is not short of admirers - with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid also credited with an interest.

But, if reports are to be believed, then Chelsea look like the club making the most moves for the sought-after centre-forward.

Former Blues forward Flo, also a Norwegian, thinks his fellow countryman would fit in well at any club in world football.

“I don’t think he would have much problem adapting to English football,” Flo told bookmakers.co.uk.

“The culture over in England is quite similar and the way of living for someone coming from Norway would be quite easy, or at least it was for me.

"We all already speak the language quite well, so there should be no problem there.

“Obviously, on the pitch, it can be much tougher because it’s a very tough league, tougher than any other in the world I think.

"That is the biggest challenge for players coming from Scandinavia. But then that’s a challenge for most players coming to the Premier League from other countries.”

“I think pretty much any club would be a good fit for him because he’s an exceptionally good player and has scored a lot of goals,” the former Norway international added.

“He seems to just get better and better. With what he’s shown so far, especially in the Champions League against all types of very good opposition, he’s proven that he can score goals at any level.”

What makes a deal for Haaland even more complicated to strike is that Dortmund have recently sold Jadon Sancho to Man United.

Sancho, who was long linked with a move to Old Trafford, recently signed for the Manchester-based club, meaning the Bundesliga outfit may be even more reluctant to letting Haaland leave as they do not want two of their key attackers out of the exit door of Signal Iduna Park in the same summer.
