Epstein Called Trump A ‘Dog That Hasn’t Barked’ & Other Bombshells In Uncovered Emails

trump-epstein

Donald Trump’s history with convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein has re-entered the conversation following a wave of newly released documents which seem to further implicate the US President in Epstein’s conduct.

Commentary around Trump’s relationship with Epstein has been broiling away for some time. In recent months, it culminated in the release of Epstein’s birthday card allegedly signed by Trump, denials of any wrongdoing on Trump’s part by Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and resurfaced photos of the pair dating back to 1993.

Now, even more documents connecting the pair have been uncovered, this time courtesy of a congressional committee that has been investigating the Epstein case and how it has been handled by authorities.

What new files about Trump and Epstein were released?

The Democratic members of the congressional committee released multiple years-old emails, all of which were sent by Epstein and make mention of Trump. These form part of the so-called Epstein files, which the committee is hoping to release in full in the hopes of uncovering the White House’s alleged cover-up of Trump’s links to the sex offender.

So, what do the emails say?

Trump “spent hours with” one of Epstein’s victims

The first email uncovered dates back to 2011, years after Trump and Epstein’s friendship had supposedly ended. Epstein sent the email to Maxwell, and it said a “[redacted victim] spent hours at my house with” Trump.

While the victim’s name was initially removed, various outlets have identified her as prominent Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre

In that same email, Epstein said, “I want you to realise that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump … he has never once been mentioned. Police chief. etc. I’m 75 per cent there.”

Maxwell replied that she had “been thinking about that… (Images: Getty Images and Oversight Committee)

The committee argues the dog analogy is a reference to Trump knowing of Epstein’s activities but not disclosing them, while the White House dismissed the email as a “fake narrative” given Giuffre’s past comments denying any wrongdoing on Trump’s part.

Epstein wrote that Trump ‘knew about the girls’

In a second email from 2019, Epstein wrote to author Michael Wolff, who had released a book about the Trump presidency the year prior and had cited Epstein as a source.

“[Redacted victim’s name] Mar-a-Lago. [Redacted text]. Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

Epstein appeared to be referencing a fall-out between himself and Trump when the President banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago resort for stealing some of its workers.

Epstein asked for help in answering media questions about Trump

Wolff also appeared in a third email released by the committee, this time from 2015. At that time, the author sent Epstein an email with the subject line: “Head’s up”.

“I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you — either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff wrote.

Epstein replied: “If we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”

In response, Wolff told Epstein to offer an answer that either allowed Trump to “hang himself” or “generat[ed] a debt” in the event he won the 2016 presidential election.

“I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.

“Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime,” Wolff wrote.

What are Trump and his opponents saying about the emails?

Trump has repeatedly denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. In a post on Truth Social shared earlier today, he said, “the Democrats are using the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax to try and deflect from their massive failures”.

For her part, White House press secretary White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the emails “prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong”.

Meanwhile, committee member Robert Garcia said: “The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover. These latest emails and correspondence raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”

Whether the committee will be successful in fully releasing the Epstein files remains to be seen, but the uncovering of the emails undoubtedly intensifies the spotlight placed on Trump’s connection to the files.
