England fans given booze warning ahead of Czech Republic match

England football team supporters have been warned that local police will be particularly vigilant in identifying drunk fans ahead of tomorrow’s Euro 2020 qualifier in the Czech Republic.

The England Supporters Travel Club will have 3,731 members in Prague but it is estimated that as many as 6,000 could travel to the city notorious for its cheap drinks and nightlife.

The Football Supporters Federation are in the city handing out their customary guides and have urged travelling England fans to show some restraint in their alcohol intake otherwise entry to the Sinobo Stadium will be refused.

“There will be no alcohol on sale in the ground, and anyone looking (or presumably sounding, or even smelling) drunk is likely to be refused entry,” the FSF wrote.

“We hope everyone has a great time, especially if you’re at your first away game – welcome to the party.

“All we ask is that you treat each other, and everyone else you meet, with respect: this is an opportunity to make friends, and attract admiration, not criticism. So enjoy yourselves – but don’t be a d*ck.”
