England (4-2-3-1)
Jordan Pickford (GK) Made two fine saves to frustrate Wales during a more even second half. Earned the clean sheet. 7
Ezri Konsa (RB): Moved to full-back with Reece James injured. Dominated the right flank, imposed himself with overlapping runs. 7
John Stones (CB): Cruised through his first international appearance in almost a year. Survived an injury scare. 7
Marc Guéhi (CB): Stayed alert to make the early opening goal, punishing dozy Wales defending. Untroubled at the back. 8
Djed Spence (LB): Made his first start in place of Tino Livramento. Stormed up and down the left. 7
Elliot Anderson (CM): Misplaced his first pass but soon regained control. An excellent start to his England career. 8
Declan Rice (CM): Brought his Arsenal corners to the party. Pushed forward, liberated by Anderson’s discipline. 8
Bukayo Saka (RW): Marked his return to the team with a stunning goal for 3-0. Full of intent. 8
Morgan Rogers (AM): Justified his place ahead of other No 10s. Pressed well, scored the opener, made the second. 8 (MOTM)
Anthony Gordon (LW): Terrorised Wales during the first half. His direct dribbling has given England a different dimension. 7
Ollie Watkins (CF): Needed to impress and tapped in for 2-0. Substituted after injuring himself missing a sitter. 7

Wales (4-1-4-1)
Karl Darlow (GK) Unable to do anything about the goals. He was let down by a dreadful defence. 5
Neco Williams (RB): Tormented by the speed and combinations between Spence and Gordon. A poor night. 4
Joe Rodon (CB): Provided no leadership when England pressed from early set pieces. The marking was staggeringly bad. 3
Ben Davies (CB): Struggled to deal with England’s pace, power and movement. Wales offered no resistance for 20 minutes. 3
Jay Dasilva (LB): Given the runaround by Saka. The defending was shambolic. Wales appeared to have no plan. 4
Ethan Ampadu (DM): Stationed in a shielding role, he was swamped by runners. England played through the lines at will. 4
Brennan Johnson (RW): Locked down by Spence, his Tottenham teammate. His speed neutered, he had little to offer. 4
Harry Wilson (CM): Too soft. Wales needed to be hard to beat but forgot to put their foot in. 4
Liam Cullen (CM): No match for Rice and Anderson. The visitors were far too open. They must learn. 4
David Brooks (LW): Stood off Saka when the winger bent his shot beyond Darlow. Went close with a volley. 4
Kieffer Moore (CF): The veteran striker got nothing out of Guéhi and Stones, although he nodded one chance over. 4
