Enes Kanter says one ex-OKC teammate is the best he’s ever played with

Former Oklahoma City Thunder big man Enes Kanter has played with his share of talented players in the NBA. He’s suiting up for the Boston Celtics in 2019-20 to play alongside Kemba Walker. He just finished working with the Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum on the Portland Trail Blazers. Of course, in his time with the Thunder, Kanter played with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

Given the way these individuals are each viewed in the basketball world, one would probably say Durant is the best player Kanter has ever played with.

Kanter wouldn’t say that though.

During his appearance on FS1’s “First Things First,” Kanter made it a point to identify the best player he’s ever played with before anyone could even ask him.

Russell Westbrook.

Kanter also feels the ex-Thunder guard is not only the best player he’s played with, Westbrook is the best teammate he’s had, as well.

Kevin Durant is obviously up there, too. He’s obviously one of the top-five players. … like I said, again, not just on the court. I look at off the court, too. I built better chemistry with Russ. And if you ask a lot of OKC guys, OKC guys will say the same thing: they built a better chemistry with Russell off the court.
