Two militants were killed in two separate operations of the security forces in the Kashmir valley on Thursday.
In the first operation, security forces encircled a group of militants in Kulgam.
“One unidentified militant was killed in Chawalgam area in Kulgam, where an encounter broke out in the morning,” the police said.
In a late evening operation, the security forces cordoned off an area in Srinagar’s Bemina area and engaged hiding militants in a gunfight.
“One unidentified terrorist was killed. One AK rifle along with ammunition was recovered,” the police said.
The operation was on in Srinagar when the last reports came in.
