Emmerdale viewers spot major clue that exposes identity of Chloe's dad

Emmerdale viewers are convinced the identity of one elusive soap character has been revealed, after spotting a major clue.

Chloe Harris' dad is currently in prison for a mysterious crime, with soap favourite Kerry Wyatt - played by actress Laura Norton - working as a cleaner in his huge house while he's away.

Fans are desperate to find out if Chloe is up to something sinister, as she grows closer to Noah and Sarah.

And some eagle-eyed viewers are now certain they know the truth, the Daily Star reports, after one grabbed a screenshot of a text to Kerry's phone.

The text read: "Where the hell's my watch?!" in all caps - and the sender was named as 'Damon'.

Fans immediately took to social media to theorise on who exactly Damon could be, with one suggesting: "Sadie King had a dog named Damon. The plot thickens. Haha. (I'm dying to find out who it is!)".

Someone else suggested: "Could be a fake name in case someone sees her messages. So would not go by this!"

A third wrote: "Damon, I think, [is] the new character coming in it. Think the actor is Ben Richards."

While a fourth echoed this, saying: "Maybe that is Ben Richards. He’s supposed to be joining the cast. Just a huge guess."

Someone else argued the name looked more like Darren - and suggested: "It looks like Darren, and a Darren I know was Daz, Amelia's [dad] and Dan Spencer's [brother]."

While another fan wondered: "What happened to Declan Macey? Didn’t he try to murder charity? Could it be him?"

Emmerdale bosses announced in October that Holby City and Footballer's Wives star Ben Richards would be joining the cast.

Ben also shared the news on Twitter as he wrote: "Am so chuffed to announce this, gonna be fun #blessed #filming #Emmerdale."

But no name has yet been announced for his character - so it is definitely possible he could be stepping up as the mystery Damon.
