Emmerdale viewers spot major blunder during storm fallout

Emmerdale viewers were confused as to why Wendy was working in the hospital despite not being a qualified nurse.

As the storm continues to rip through the village, the residents are feeling its effects more than ever. Last night, viewers watched as Harriet was killed off following a head-to-head collision and Kim was forced to break the news to everyone.

Chas and Al also found themselves caught up in the danger as falling debris nearly knocked Chas unconscious. Regaining composure, she eventually made her way to the hospital only to be met by a familiar face.

Wendy immediately took Chas into the hospital to tend to her wounds, staying with her as her right hand nurse. Eagle-eyed viewers were left confused however as they recalled her not being suited for the role.

In September last year, Wendy had a dramatic face-off with her ex-husband Russ who forced her to reveal that she was never qualified as a nurse. Viewers watched on as she tended to Chas' wounds but asked why she was stepping up to the plate as a "fake nurse."

One viewer said: "How on earth is Wendy at the hospital working? Isn't she just the 'unqualified' practice nurse?" Another added: "Fake nurse Wendy treating Chas."

A third viewer said: "Wendy turns up and works where she wants." A final added: "So Wendy back working in the hospital?"

Wendy remained with Chas, tending to her wounds and suggesting she stay away from the village until the storm settles. Chas eventually texts Paddy to tell him where she was, prompting him to brave the storm despite his better instincts.
