Emmerdale viewers slam 'vile' behaviour after cancer bombshell

Emmerdale viewers slammed Cain's behaviour after Faith revealed she had terminal cancer.

In Thursday night's Emmerdale's Faith Dingle dropped the bombshell on her family her cancer had returned and it was terminal. She kept the secret from her children, Cain and Chas, but the truth came out after Cain said he wished she was dead after being tricked into attending a party for her.

Faith then snapped and revealed her cancer was terminal and the fallout from the bombshell hit its climax in tonight's episode. Cain seemed unfazed by the announcement and continued to berate his mother as he said he "didn't care" and wanted her to "feel the pain he felt," after their historically rocky relationship.

The unceremonious behaviour didn't sit well with viewers who branded Cain's behaviour as "vile" and begged his character be killed off instead of Faith's. One fan said: "WTF is wrong with Cain & Chas seriously? Poor Faith literally just told them the worse possible news ever & still they can't help make it all about them. Not so surprising with Cain but Chas? "You have no idea how much you've hurt me" How many times has she hurt Faith."

Another said: "Cain saying why have treatment when it’s terminal, what a vile man…"

A third comment added: "We all hate the way Cain speaks to Faith to be honest."

A final comment said: "Cain will regret his behaviour."

Later viewers watched Faith confide in Moira where she said she sometimes hates her son, leaving a shocked silence in the room as she fought back tears.
