Emmerdale viewers convinced 'suspicious' Nicky is involved in blackmail plot

Emmerdale viewers are convinced newcomer Nicky is hiding something as they predict a sinister blackmail storyline.

Right from the start, Nicky caught Gabby Thomas' attention. The pair got together to celebrate her recent promotion but when Gabby leaned in to kiss him, she was mortified when he rejected her.

During tonight's episode, they had an awkward conversation about the night before, with Nicky telling her he didn't want to "blur the lines" and that they should just "forget it happened". Nicky also caught Lydia Dingle doing her laundry and taking food from the fridge at Home Farm.

While he promised he wouldn't tell Kim Tate, some fans are not sure he will stay true to his word. Others have been trying to figure out why Nicky turned down Gabby.

Some think it is because he is already taken, others believe he might be gay and many agreed that something was "suspicious" about him. Taking to Twitter, they shared their theories.

McWhiskers wrote: "I didn't think Lydia would be a bit cheeky with the 'past the sell by date' stuff from Kim's fridge and using her washing machine... I wonder if Nicky is going to blackmail her - not a lot to blackmail someone over but I suppose it's how he'd say he'd tell Kim..."

Elle-Rae said: "Nicky is creepy and so obviously plotting something."

Peter commented: "Got a feeling that Nicky character is going to turn out to be a nasty character."

Chris P tweeted: "Nicky the suspicious nanny."

And Doreen Morfitt joked: "Story twist - Nicky has the hots for Lydia."
