Emmerdale star teases Kim Tate's poisoner is unexpected character as suspects revealed

Emmerdale actor Chris Bisson has teased whether the character poisoning Kim Tate on the ITV soap could be someone unexpected.

The Jai Sharma actor hinted that it could be anyone, after a list of suspects were revealed ahead of big scenes.

Jai himself is one of the suspects on Kim's radar, after she figures out someone is poisoning her.

As she fakes symptoms as to avoid alerting the mystery culprit she's on to them, she gathers a group of guests at Home Farm - the scene of the crime.

She then drops a bombshell that leads to bickering amongst the guests, before she makes a speech designed to manipulate the poisoner into exposing their identity.

Whether her plan works remains to be seen, but Kim will at some point learn the truth - and she will take revenge.

Now, Jai actor Chris has hinted he could be the mystery culprit, despite him being one of the least likely suspects.

Jai and Al Chapman are giving Kim grief about the business, so she includes them both in her dinner plans in case it is one of them behind it.

While viewers will not be thinking it's Jai because he seems to lack a motive, the actor has teased why fans might be wrong.

He explained of whether it might be him poisoning Kim: "Yes, he could – but I doubt he’d be doing it to kill her.

"Although, if she was affected enough to relinquish control of the business I suppose that would be in Jai’s interests.

"He wouldn’t mind it if Jamie or Gabby got the business as I think Jai feels he could manipulate them easier than Kim."

So is Jai in on the big plan to destroy Kim, or is he completely innocent?

Viewers will have to stay tuned, as the person really targeting Kim and their reasons for doing so will be confirmed soon.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
