Emmerdale's Michelle Hardwick marries Kate Brooks in stunning Memphis wedding

Michelle Hardwick has married her girlfriend in a stunning ceremony in Memphis.

The Emmerdale actress, 43, took to Twitter to announce that she'd tied the knot with TV producer Kate Brooks in America on Tuesday.

She donned a white jumpsuit that Elvis Presley would be proud of, featuring bat wing sleeves and flared trousers.

Her bride looked stunning in a vintage-style maxi dress and a big pair of sunglasses, with both women carrying matching bouqets.

Kate waved her flowers in the air as both women beamed and held hands on the steps of the chapel where they said "I do".

Michelle captioned the picture: "In over 100 degrees heat, on Tuesday 10th September, I became Mrs Brooks."

She added the hashtags #graceland #chapelinthewoods #memphis #nextstopnashville.

The couple got engaged back in December when Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, popped the question.

She tweeted: "So after months of planning, I popped the question!!! She said yes!!! #loveislove #noordinaryproposal @katebrooks"

Michelle and Kate, who is a producer on Emmerdale, have been dating for a while, but didn't go official until September last year.

They announced their relationship on Instagram on National Coming Out Day, with Michelle captioning a cute picture of them with a rainbow emoji and the words: "It will all work out in the end."

The soap star was previously married to music teacher Rosie Nicholl, but they split in February 2017 after just two years of marriage.

"It was one of those unfortunate things where we did drift apart. We had the big fairytale wedding and I still love that day, it was brilliant. It's just really sad and one of those things that happens," Michelle said in February 2017.

"We still have our dogs which we'll share and nobody else was involved, it just happened and it was a mutual decision. I don't know how else to explain it. I grew out of love and she became more like my best friend."
