Emmerdale's Mark Charnock hints at trouble in paradise for Marlon and Rhona

Emmerdale fans saw much-loved chef, Marlon Dingle, and local vet, Rhona Goskirk, tie the knot last month as they left both villagers and viewers alike in tears with their emotional ceremony at St Mary's Church.

Since the big day the couple have been keeping a low profile with viewers assuming they are enjoying the honeymoon period. However, there could be trouble in paradise as actor Mark Charnock hints that a divorce could already be on the cards for the newlyweds.

The wedding saw Marlon stand up out of his wheelchair and struggle to walk down the aisle to say his vows to his then wife-to-be, Rhona, after narrowly making it back from hospital in time for his nuptials. It comes after the character suffered a terrifying stroke earlier this year in scenes that touched the nation's hearts.

53-year-old actor Mark said the wedding scenes, were difficult to film due to being "relentlessly moving." The actor, who has worked closely with the charity, Stroke Association, to give a "realistic and authentic depiction" of Marlon's journey, has been praised by fans for his portrayal of a stroke victim as he takes on the important role of raising awareness.

And while other character's storylines have taken priority of late, actor Mark has teased his marriage with Rhona is about to be tested as the couple enter murky waters. In an interview with Express.co.uk and other media Mark said that their marriage could end as soon as "next week".

Could this mean the end for Marlon and Rhona before their marriage has even began? Or will they overcome the obstacles in front of them?

Let us know your predications for Marlon and Rhona in the comments section below.
