Emmerdale's Liv actress Isobel Steele's life off-screen - adorable pets and music career

Emmerdale is celebrating its milestone 50th anniversary this month, with some dramatic storylines and an hour-long special episode in the coming weeks to mark the occasion.

There is now speculation over how things will play out as a devastating storm is set to hit the village, with a number of characters teased to be in jeopardy because of it.

It's rumoured that Liv Dingle - played by Isobel Steele, 21 - could meet a tragic end later this month, though ITV viewers will have to wait to found out if she survives.

Isobel joined the popular soap in 2016, with her character having been introduced as the sister of established character Aaron Dingle, who is played by Danny Miller, 31.

Liv has been involved in some significant storylines over the years - like being wrongly imprisoned for murder - with the storm just the latest narrative to involve the character.

The actor's life off-screen is quite different from her character, so here is a look at Isobel's life away from the set - from spending time with family to travelling with friends.

Family and friends

She has posted photos with family - including her parents - on social media (@isobelsteelee/Instagram)

Isobel posts about her time outside of work on Instagram, having shared photos from outings with some of her Emmerdale co-stars, festivals, trips away and other activities.

Alongside spending time with friends, Isobel enjoys being with her family and occasionally posts photos of her parents and brother Conrad Steele on social media as well.

The family has included some four-legged friends too, with Isobel having shared photos in recent years of their two dogs - one of whom, Ralph, sadly died earlier this week.

She took to the platform yesterday to share that Ralph had passed away, writing alongside a photo of him: "I love you so much." In a follow-up post she said: "Never forget you".

Music

It isn't just acting that Isobel has shown an interest in over the course of her career so far, with her having pursued musical opportunities alongside her role as Liv.

She has been known to post videos of herself singing on social media, including covering artists like Coldplay as well as having shared original music with her followers.

Isobel has been seen playing instruments including a piano and a guitar in her videos, and has showcased on Instagram that she has worked in a "homemade" recording studio.

Her extended play Sounds from the Lounge was released in 2019. Isobel said she had "spent a lot of time" working on it and revealed that her dad had helped with the project.

Travel

She posts updates from her adventures on social media, like from her trip to France earlier this year (@isobelsteelee/Instagram)

If her social media is anything to go by, Isobel enjoys travelling and photography in her spare time. Her Instagram feed includes post about her various adventures abroad.

This included going to the US a few months ago, with the actor having since shared photos from the trip - which saw her visit places like Los Angeles and San Francisco.

She also appears to have an interest in photography (@isobelsteelee/Instagram)

She also travelled to France as part of a skiing holiday earlier this year alongside family and friends, posting photos from ski resort La Tania on social media back in February.

Emmerdale will be celebrating its landmark 50th birthday during episodes this month. And there will be a special hour-long episode on October 16 to mark the milestone.
