Emmerdale's Danny Miller swears in rambling rant about Soap Awards snub

Danny Miller has sparked concern among Emmerdale fans with a rambling and slurred rant about being snubbed by the British Soap Awards 2019.

The 28-year-old actor, who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, swore at fans and became increasingly erratic in a 30-minute video livestreamed from his Instagram account.

During his rant, Danny repeatedly declared "f**k the Soap Awards" and joked that his career was over as his friends attempted to intervene.

He appeared to be in a restaurant with pals when the stream went live, and - according to the Sun - other diners complained about his bizarre behaviour, to which Danny told them: "Get out the shot, I've got a British Soap Award."

He took issue with not winning a gong since 2016, when he picked up the Best Actor and Best Male Dramatic Performance gongs at the prestigious event, and told followers who challenged his behaviour to "f**k off".

"British Soap Awards, I remember when we used to be friends. I used to turn up every year and win something but now...Let's talk about the Soap Awards nominees..." Danny went on.

Turning to his pals, the actor said: "Why have you not stopped me yet, this could be my career over? Why haven't you stopped me yet?

"Remember when Danny Miller lost his mind?" he added before launching into song.

Turning on one follower whose profile name he was unable to pronounce, Danny called him a "boring little man", a "s**thouse" and a "f**king idiot" before telling him to "f**k off".

When his mates begged him to leave the fan alone, Danny retorted: "No, I won't leave him alone."

The livestream reportedly came to an abrupt end as worried fans told Danny to drink some water.

The troubling video comes just weeks after Danny spoke out about his mental health on CBeebies star Ross Grant's WatchRoss podcast.

"I messed up so many auditions because of my anxiety," Danny told his friend in March.

"There were loads of things that happened in my life that are far too deep to get into now, that makes you think, of course I was depressed, I was a young lad in a television programme who ignored all the stuff that was going on.

"The first breakup with your first proper girlfriend - it's awful, mate, and I'm sure everyone's been through it. I lost a little bit of weight and that's probably the only silver lining I could find."

He went on: "There's so many things out there that people choose to ignore for their own way of dealing with it. I would say now, knowing from my small life experience, that there's so many things out there that make you angry or hate life, but I was always thinking 'I'm going to deal with the problem head on and whatever comes out of it comes out of it.

"But the depression and the anxiety were making me go, 'I'm not dealing with this well because I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know who I am.' And it runs in my family, and they said, 'you need to get to the doctors', but being a bloke, 'I'm alright, I don't need help'."

Danny said his GP told him he needed help and gave him medication to tackle the problem, which took around seven weeks to kick in.

"I'm starting to feel I can leave the house again, go for a drink and I'm not going to get myself into trouble because someone's going to say something and my anxiety's going 'attack, attack, attack', whether that be physical or verbally, that was always something I was afraid of."

Mirror Online has contacted reps for Danny and ITV for comment.
