Emmerdale star Michael Wildman is set to quit the soap with his character Al Chapman set for a rumoured major head-to-head with Cain Dingle.
Michael Wildman, 52, who has appeared in Hollywood films Ready Player One and Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, has been in Emmerdale for three years. During his time in the soap, the character of Al Chapman has made his fair share of enemies, not least because of his ongoing affair with Chas Dingle.
Emmerdale spoilers suggest a dramatic showdown is in the offing involving Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, and Al with a horror shooting coming. We’ll have to see whether this brings a grizzly end for Al.

Discussing Michael's upcoming exit, a source, quoted by The Sun, said: “Michael has really enjoyed his time at Emmerdale but it’s the right thing to move on. He’s had some massive storylines but all good things must come to an end.”
As we've previously reported, tying up with the rumour Al Chapman will be killed off is confirmation of acting star Michael Wildman's new role away from Emmerdale. It has been announced the acting star will be appearing in panto this Christmas.

Traditionally, it is not known for ITV soap stars to perform in panto while filming with the shows so it would imply that Michael will be wrapping up filming. Michael will be appearing in Aladdin at the Sunderland Empire this Christmas. In recent weeks, the tissues have been at the ready as viewers have said goodbye to Faith Dingle, Harriet Finch and Liv Flaherty.
Their storylines have come as part of Emmerdale's 50th anniversary celebrations. Additionally, we know Fiona Shaw, who plays Priya Sharma, will soon be departing Emmerdale after 11 years in the soap.
