Emmerdale fans have been stunned to learn of Paddy Kirk star Dominic Brunt's real age.
The actor has become a household name for his long-running role in the ITV soap. Recent scenes have seen Paddy spiral into a depression after finding out his wife Chas Dingle had been having an affair and planning to run away with Al Chapman.
More recently Paddy hit an extreme low point, and was saved by his best friend Marlon Dingle.

Away from the cameras, actor Dominic has recently celebrated his birthday. On Saturday, the star turned 53, and fans have rushed to wish him well.
Taking to a Facebook group dedicated to Emmerdale fans, one user shared a number of photos of Dominic as Paddy throughout the years and said: "Happy birthday Dominic! Some great performances over the years, happy 53rd birthday sir"
Other Emmerdale viewers have been quick to comment on the post. One said: "He looks great! Happy birthday DB", while a second said: "Looking good for 53, still got that same baby face as when you arrived."
A third said: "Happy birthday you look fantastic" and a fourth said: "You are 53 years young!"
Dominic joined Emmerdale when he was just 26, back in February 1997.
