Emmerdale fans have predicted evil Meena Jutla will brutally murder Leanna Cavanagh after Tuesday’s chilling cliffhanger.
The psychopathic nurse has been manipulating numerous people in the village in recent weeks, including almost killing Andrea Tate’s dog and stealing the Emmerdale Pride collection money to frame boyfriend David Metfcalfe’s son Jacob Gallagher to enable her to have David all to herself.
This week has seen Meena plotting to get rid of Jacob by engineering his departure from the village with on-off girlfriend Leanna.
However, Jacob refused to play along and despite initially accepting Leanna’s offer to join her on her travels, he decided not to go with her.
An upset Leanna was seen drinking champagne alone and after a conversation with an old crush and personal trainer Billy, she headed home to inspect her 18th birthday presents which had been placed in an old rucksack given to her by Meena’s sister, Dr Manpreet Sharma.
Yet, unbeknownst to Manpreet, Meena had been keeping incriminating evidence in the rucksack - including the stolen Emmerdale Pride Collection money and incriminating contents related to the mysterious death of an old friend.
When Meena realised what had happened she furiously berated Manpreet before heading to the Cavanagh house to confront Leanna, letting herself in and heading to her bedroom in the process.
Leanna asked her: “How did you get in here?”
“You left the door on the latch,” claims creepy Meena.
A confused Leanna asks: “Seriously, why are you here, Meena?”
“It’s all fine, I’ll be out of your hair in just a sec, but first I think you have something of mine,” she says.
Leanna goes to return the bag when she realises what Meena meant, with the nurse asking: “Did you take anything else out of the bag?”
When Leanna answers that she removed her birthday presents, Meena orders: “Now just take the box out of the bag and give it to me.”
The Pride collection money drips out and Leanna deduces Meena was guilty of the theft and tried to frame Jacob to enable her to have his dad David all to herself.
Leanna gasps: “Oh my gosh, it wasn’t Jacob, it was you, that’s why you’re here!”
Meena then laughs nervously before turning threatening, shouting: “Now let’s start again. The bag and everything inside it. I want it back. Right now!”
The episode ends with Leanna looking very troubled, with viewers at home fearing this is the end of Liam’s daughter.
One viewer wrote on Twitter : “Omg run Leanna [scared face emojis] #emmerdale ”.
Another person tweeted: “Jacob is to wise to manipulators after Maya. She's going to kill Leanna. That's why her and Liam have been getting so much screen time together. Never had that much since they came into the village.”
Meanwhile, a different Emmerdale fan penned: “RUN LEANNA RUN #Emmerdale ”.
Elsewhere, another soap fan opined: “I reckon Meena will kill Leanna on Thursday #Emmerdale ”.
Finally, one Emmerdale viewer concluded: “Leanna wil b Meena's victim. They've developed Leanna's character for months now,makin her likeable & are makin a big thing about her goin travellin.Leanna discovers incriminatin evidence about Meena this week.Meena wil kill her & every1 wil think she went travellin #Emmerdale ”.
Fans who have binged the week’s episodes will already know the outcome but we shan’t spoil it here.
