Emmerdale fans have been left questioning the potential outcome of a big storyline on the ITV soap.
Tonight, viewers of Emmerdale saw the dramatic next stage of Jamie Tate’s car crash. We’d previously seen Jamie’s car fly into a lake with fans wondering what the result will be for the character - played by Alexander Lincoln.
This evening Kim Tate took a call about Jamie with fans of the showing left wondering what his fate would be.

Later in the episode, we saw Jamie wasn't in the car when it was recovered by police. That suggested he might have survived the incident - much to the disbelief of viewers.
A lot of Emmerdale fans took to Twitter to give their reaction to the turn of events that they suggested might be, um, stretching credibility a touch.
One viewer said: “How did Jamie survive what a load of c**p.”
Another commented: “Wouldn’t surprise me if the writers magically made Jamie alive after he'd been in a lake for 24 hours.”
While another added: “There’s no way Jamie could have survived that crash.”
We'll have to wait until next week to discover if Jamie Tate really is alive or it was just another twist in the ongoing drama.
