Emmerdale viewers were left feeling heartbroken for Moira on Tuesday evening as it was revealed that her brother Mackenzie Boyd lied about when their mother died.
Mack was backed into a corner by Cain Dingle after his own mum, Faith, did some digging and found a death certificate online.
After being confronted by them both, Mack begged Cain not to tell Moira as they were finally rebuilding a relationship as siblings.
"This isn’t about you and me. Me and Moira had a huge breakthrough this afternoon, are you really going to ruin that?" he said to Cain.
"Her life is about as happy as it can be," he added, as Cain told him he couldn't lie to Moira again.
However, at that moment, Moira walked into the kitchen and instantly knew something wasn't right.
As Cain told Mack to tell her the truth about when their mum's funeral actually was, Moira looked devastated and replied: "Tell me that's not true," as Mack stormed out.
Emmerdale fans tuning in at home were just as gutted and took to Twitter to air their thoughts.
"Poor Moira #Emmerdale," one person posted, followed by a broken heart emoji.
"Moira deserves all the happiness in the world not all this upset #emmerdale," another fan tweeted.
"Poor Moria she can’t catch a break ! mackenzie is a piece of work ! #Emmerdale," a third viewer added.
And a fourth fan of the ITV soap penned: "Poor Moira she really does deserve happiness and joy not heartbreak! #emmerdale."
It comes after it was reported that Aaron Dingle may be in trouble after being set up by Mack.
After a risky deal with Mack and Charity Dingle last year, Aaron soon backed out and refused to go through with their criminal plan.
However, in upcoming scenes Mack manages to convince Aaron to work with them again but when the police shows up, he's not sure that Mack has been entirely truthful with him.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
