Emmerdale viewers were fuming with Leyla Cavanagh as they tuned into Wednesday's episode.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw Suzy Merton blast Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) for being a "self-absorbed" addict as the pair's friendship came to an end.
Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) was desperately trying to win Vanessa Woodfield back after it emerged that she knew Holly Barton and was there the night she died. It also emerged she was the one who had asked her to pick up some drugs.
Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) was adamant that their relationship was over and Jai Sharma was fuming when he realised that Suzy had known who Holly was all along.
One person who know Suzy's secret was Leyla, but Suzy decided not to land her in it - even when she was being slammed by Jai, Vanessa and Liam for using cocaine - even though the drugs actually belonged to Leyla.
Towards the end of Wednesday's episode, Suzy visited Leyla at her office to drop off some keys.
"I'm sorry about all of this," Leyla told her as Suzy replied bluntly: "You still owe me my expenses."
"Yeah I'll get it sorted," Leyla told her as Suzy fired back: "Yeah, well make it quick, I don't wanna have to come back."
"I will and thank you for not dropping me in it. Why? Why didn't you?" Leyla asked.
"I'm not sure they would have believed me, all junkies are liars remember? You know that," Suzy said.
"Like you wouldn't have denied it. You were quite happy to throw me under the bus. I tried to help you, be a good friend, the type of friend that you haven't been to me. I was wasting my time, there's no helping addicts!"
"I'm not an addict!" Leyla said, clearly in denial.
"They all say that. It's obvious, you've changed, you used to be fun, and kind and genuine, and now you're just self-absorbed and all you can think about is coke," Suzy told her, before adding: "You can't even see it, you're getting in deeper and deeper and you're gonna end up just like Holly, and I'm glad I won't be around for that."
Viewers were left fuming and took to Twitter to comment.
One person posted: "Leyla, how could you do that to Suzy?! Own up! #Emmerdale."
Another viewer said: "#Emmerdale ffs Susie tell them the truth about Leyla cos she really really really really deserves it. Really really."
A third asked: "Is no one noticing Leyla’s obvious guilty facial expressions???!!! #Emmerdale."
A fourth viewer added: "I would have just grassed one Leyla. She has done nothing to warrant Suzy defending her #Emmerdale."
