Emmerdale could air a major twist following the brutal attack on DI Malone, according to fans.
They're predicting one character to be heavily involved in the fallout, as Malone's fate remains unknown.
He was hit over the head with a wrench by rival Will Taylor, as their feud took a deadly turn.
Fans now believe he could be dead, after his lifeless body was shown sprawled out across the floor at the garage.
Next week sees Will panic in the immediate aftermath, and beg another character for help.

But viewers are already expecting Cain Dingle to get involved - and possibly pay the price.
Fans are tipping the plot to go one of two ways, amid speculation Malone has been killed off.
They think Will will get Cain to help him cover up the crime, or that he might even allow Cain to be framed for the possible murder.

If Malone survives, they still think somehow that Cain will be the one in the frame.
After all, Cain has sworn revenge on Malone who he believes was behind the recent hit-and-run, that saw his wife Moira Dingle left fighting for her life.
Cain and Malone are enemies after he was dragged into the corrupt officer's dodgy dealings.
He wants Malone out of the way, but it seems Will may have got there first.
Will asks Billy Fletcher for his help, as Malone's life appears to hang in the balance.
But as a possible cover-up begins ahead of Malone's fate being revealed, will Cain regret his threats to him?

Whether it's intentional or not, fans are predicting Cain will be framed for the crime after recent events.
One fan tweeted: "I'm guessing Malone survives #Emmerdale but Cain gets blamed."
Another said: "If Malone is dead, I reckon he'll be buried on the farm. Just so happens Cain had his overalls on today. Then Harriet will find out day of the wedding. But he probably isn't dead & go back to blackmailing Will."
A third added: "Boring! Cain will get the blame."
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
