Emmerdale actress hints 'end' for Kerry amid death fears as she teases soap return

Emmerdale actress Laura Norton has hinted at the "end" for her character Kerry Wyatt, amid fears she's about to be killed off.

Upcoming scenes will see her killer secret exposed, leading to her fighting for her life in hospital and in a bad way.

Last month, Kerry and daughter Amy accidentally burnt the sweet factory down causing the death of Frank Clayton.

Kerry went on to frame him for the crime, but his daughter Tracy Metcalfe will rumble the truth in explosive scenes.

After fleeing Kerry in a bid to get to the police, Laura's character will fall and hit her head leaving her fighting for her life in hospital.

As she takes a turn for the worse, Tracy will feel guilty while Amy fears their secret will be out.

Now, actress Laura has hinted at the end for Kerry - while not giving away if she meant because of the secret being revealed, or because Kerry might die.

Remaining cryptic, she appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday and promised dramatic scenes on the way over the next few weeks.

She said: "Yeah I think that is the start of her breaking point, there's only so long you can suppress that sort of thing.

"It's eating away at her so that is the beginning of the end really."

Laura added as Lorraine asked about an exit: "I'll try not to [leave] but there are some really good explosive scenes next week."

She also hinted there could be a return for Daz Spencer, played by her real life fiancé Mark Jordon.

As Lorraine probed about them no longer working together, she replied: "Not at the minute, no."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
