Emily Blunt and John Krasinski spotted on rare lunch date in London

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been spotted on a rare date lunch sharing a romantic meal together in London.

The Hollywood couple, who are married in real life, were pictured arriving at the trendy River Café restaurant in Hammersmith, west London for a lunch date.

British star Emily, whose latest role is in The Good Place II, looked smart-casual as she left the car in a long-sleeved rust-coloured shirt with a black scarf around her neck. She teamed them with distressed black skinny jeans and chunky boots.

She wore red sunglasses that co-ordinated with her auburn hair.

Her Boston-born husband John, who shot to fame as Jim in the US version of The Office, was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt.

The loved-up couple have been married for 11 years.

American actor John admitted that he was already a fan of Emily’s before they met and has seen her breakout movie, The Devil Wears Prada, more than 70 times.

“It’s just one of those movies that whenever you’re going through the channels you just stop and you look,” he revealed.

Emily’s co-star from that movie, Stanley Tucci, is now her brother-in-law.

He is married to Emily’s sister Felicity. The couple met at John and Emily’s wedding in 2010, and now have two children together.

John, 42, and Emily, 38, also have two children, daughters Hazel, seven, and Violet, five. They divide their time living in England and America, spending most of the lockdown last year in New York.

Emily revealed: “Being around little ones during the pandemic was such a saving grace. They would just be bouncing around the house, and your job is to protect them from what is happening and make sure their life remains joyful. That was a pretty great lifeline for John and me during the pandemic."

In 2018, John co-wrote and directed a horror movie, The Quiet Place, and starred in it with his wife.

Although it had a tiny budget by Hollywood standards, it became a global smash hit.

John remained behind the camera for the harrowing sequel, A Quiet Place II, with Emily once again taking the lead as mother of three Evelyn Abbott.

That movie is the first film to make $100 million since the pandemic began. The franchise is so popular that Paramount Picture have asked for a third in the series.
