Emilia Clarke: Meeting Snoop Dogg was the ‘greatest night of my life’

Emilia Clarke has branded meeting Snoop Dogg at his recent London gig as the “greatest night of my life”.

The British star recalled how the Californian rapper told her he would “protect her eggs” in reference to her Games of Thrones character, Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, when they meet backstage before his concert in March.

In the very first of the HBO fantasy series, Daenerys is given three rare dragon eggs, which eventually hatch and grow into fully-fledged dragons.

In a new interview, Clarke was visibly giddy as she was asked to rank the experience on “the surreal moment scale”.

When asked where meeting the hitmaker sat on that scale, she enthusiastically replied: “10. 10 out of 10 out of 10 out of 10!”

The 36-year-old continued: “My guy Snoop Dogg is in the house with me he said he’s gonna protect my dragon. He wants to do an acting thing with me.

“I was cooking up. I mean hell ... I got high by proxy just being in his presence and it was beautiful.”

Clarke then went on to tease that fans could expect to see them working together in the future on a cinematic project.

She told Canada’s ETalk: “And we came up with this idea, we’re going to do a movie together, we’re going to take over the world.”

The Me Before You star then concluded with a broad smile: “It was the greatest night of my life. I’m such a fan. It was amazing. Love me some Snoop Dogg.”

Clarke, who played Daenerys from 2011 to 2019, previously shared a video of their meeting on her Instagram on March 21.

In the clip, taken backstage at his gig at London’s O2, the hitmaker told her: “You’re an amazing actress, beautiful spirit. You’re so believable. I would protect your eggs any day.”

To which she excitedly responded: “Yes! Can I get that in writing?”

Captioning the post, she penned at the time: “SNOOP. DOGGY. DOGG. The man, the myth, the legend. When he calls, you (I) come running.”
