Emil Forsberg vows Celtic 'will come good' after Swede shows delight at emulating Henrik Larsson greatness

Emil Forsberg has told Celtic to trust the process by stating success 'will come' in the near future -– as the RB Leipzig star stated the Hoops 'made it hard' for the German outfit.

Celtic needed at least a point against the Bundesliga side to carry on their Champions League knockout hopes after faltering to a loss against Marco Rose's men last week and a draw against a hapless Shakhtar Donetsk side in September. Though it wasn't to be for Ange Postecoglou 's side, with Timo Werner and Forsberg notching a quick-fire double at Parkhead to leave Celtic fans in absolute disarray.

Europa League football is now the next best option for the Hoops, who must beat Shakhtar Donetsk at home next time out before hoping they can better the Ukrainian side's result on the final day in order to qualify for the knockouts of Europe's second-most prestigious tournament. But Forsberg has claimed that the Celts' time 'will come' under the Aussie boss as they caused Leipzig problems - whilst he also nodded to countryman Henrik Larsson 's career at the club.

“I bet he’s scored some beauties in this stadium, yes? It was a nice one for me and I was very happy. It came from some very good play from us. It wasn’t easy for us, Celtic are a fantastic team.

“They play good football, they play fast and they have a lot of good combinations. They had some good chances to score but didn’t.

"In the end, we got two good chances and we scored. Celtic are a really good team but against us they didn’t have the ability to score.

"They play some really good one-two combinations, that impressed me a lot. They need that finishing touch a little bit more but I am sure it will come."
