Emergency services are on the scene following reports of a serious collision in Wigan this evening (November 6).
A main road in Hindley has been forced to close completely following the incident.
It is believed to have occurred shortly before 10pm.

The A58 Castle Hill Road is shut in both directions at the junction of Sandy Lane.
The blockage starts near Brindle Street, and an area is Taped off near S&S News and Booze corner shop and the Castle on t'Hill pub.
At the police cordon there are at least five vehicles are currently in attendance.
Lights on the squad car blocking off the road can be seen well down the A58 as people head towards Hindley from Westhoughton.
A spokesperson for Transport for Greater Manchester confirmed the road had been shut.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and drivers should make alternative travel arrangements where possible.
TfGM said: "A58 Castle Hill Road at the junction of Sandy Lane in Hindley, Wigan is closed in both directions.
"This is due to an RTC.
"If you're heading this way, please seek an alternative route."
There were several concerned local residents watching on from their front gardens following the incident, before retreating back inside.
