Emergency services rush to crash after car flips on side

A road was closed after a car flipped on its side.

Emergency services rushed to Mather Avenue after reports of a two car crash, at around 9.35am on Friday, May 20. At the scene, between Storrsdale Road to Rose Lane, police closed the road after finding a Ford KA and Ford Fiesta had been involved in a crash.

North West Ambulance service were also in attendance of the Mossley Hill crash, and sent three ambulances, an advanced paramedic, a bronze commander and hazardous area response team. Both cars needed to be recovered, with the Ford Fiesta spotted flipped onto its side.

Merseyside police confirmed there were no reports of any serious injuries. The road re-opened at around 11.20am. A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance service said that they took one patient to hospital but the injuries they suffered seemed to be 'minor.'
