Emergency services race to Edinburgh street as two injured in crash

Emergency services are on the scene at a West Pilton street after reports of a crash, police have confirmed.

Officers are still in attendance at the ongoing incident on West Pilton Street after calls were made at around 5.30pm on Friday (June 4).

The roads surrounding the north Edinburgh road have been cordoned off, with two people reported to have been injured from the collision.

Their conditions are currently unknown.

This is likely to be in place for some time, with drivers in the area encouraged to avoid the route.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance on West Pilton Street in Edinburgh following a road traffic crash.

"Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.30pm on Friday, 4 June and officers remain at the scene."
