Emergency services have raced to the scene of an ongoing incident on the A90 this afternoon.
It is understood to be a serious road traffic accident which occurred on the eastbound stretch after the St. Madoes slip road near Glencarse.
It is not known at this stage if there are any injuries or how many vehicles are involved.
Traffic Scotland reported at 14:20 that all lanes northbound at Glencarse were closed.
At 14:35, the service tweeted an update saying: "A90 Glencarse all lanes now closed in both directions."
Queues of traffic have also been seen building in the area.
The Daily Record has contacted Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
