Elton John at Anfield: Important update for every ticket holder

Elton John is performing at Anfield this week as the stadium’s summer concerts series continues.

Last week saw the Rolling Stones pack out the home of Liverpool FC for the band’s first UK date of their SIXTY tour. This week, Elton John arrives into the city on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road, The Final Tour.

The third and final gig at Anfield this summer will be The Eagles, who will perform there on Monday, June 20. Thousands of people are expected at the Reds’ stadium this Friday, June 17 to see Elton John, when the gates open at 4.30pm.

He’s expected to perform a huge number of hits from his extensive back catalogue, including Tiny Dancer, Crocodile Rock and Your Song. Event organisers at Anfield are reminding ticket holders of some important information to be aware of when attending the stadium.

Anfield operates a ‘no bag policy’ and there is no bag storage facility available where people can leave their belongings during the gig. There is also no car parking available at the stadium so concert goers are urged to use city centre car parks and the express 917 bus service from Commutation Row, or travel using other local bus or train services.

The 917 express service to city centre (Commutation Row) will depart from Walton Lane at the junction with Walton Breck Road. You can join the queue at Sleepers Hill. The Concert Bus service to Sandhills Station will depart from Walton Lane at the junction with Anfield Road.

Ticket holders are reminded that Anfield Stadium is a cashless venue and that means all bars, kiosks and food outlets around the stadium (internal and external) are cashless. There will be a wide range of food and drinks available to buy, including an on-pitch dispense service for people with general admission tickets.

Liverpool FC is also urging all attendees to respect the neighbourhood and its residents when leaving the stadium.
