Elisabeth Moss debuts surprise first pregnancy on Jimmy Kimmel talk show

Elisabeth Moss has announced she is pregnant with her first child during an appearance on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The Handmaid’s Tale star debuted her growing baby bump on the sofa with host Kimmel, who joked: “Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?”.

“A little bit of both,” the Mad Men star replied.

Moss said she feels “really lucky” as her pregnancy journey has been “going really well”.

The two-time Golden Globe winning actress, who was previously married to comedian Fred Armisen for a year before divorcing in 2011, has kept her personal life private.

The 41-year-old asked Kimmel, who shares four children with his is wife Molly McNearney, for pregnancy advice.

The comedian shared the same advice his wife received from Bill Murray: “Bring Christmas lights to hang (in the delivery room), beads, a night light, (and) he said bring music, which everybody tells you.”

Kimmel added battery-powered candles to the list because “the lighting is terrible in the room, it’s like Walmart style lighting for this blessed event that is going to happen and you don’t want that”.

To which she replied: "I think that's a really good list, I like that."

Earlier in the day, Moss fueled pregnancy speculation while on set of her new thriller Shell in LA.

In pictures obtained by MailOnline, the actress could been seen in a pink bathrobe, covering what appeared to be a bump, while getting her makeup done.

In 2022, Moss opened up about wanting children, and admitted that she wanted to be the kind of mother her own, Linda, is to her.

She told Daily Mail's YOU: "I definitely want to have kids because I've been very inspired by the kind of mother my mom is.

"She did a beautiful thing with me."

Before joking: "And then I'll give the child to my mum and she can raise it because she'd do it very well!"
