Electrician stabbed his partner 31 times and blew up their home in murderous rage

  • Electrician Clifton George was found guilty of murdering his partner, Annabel Rook, after stabbing her 31 times during an argument at their east London home.
  • The fatal attack occurred after Ms Rook, 46, told George, 45, she wanted to end their 10-year relationship.
  • Following the killing, George caused a gas explosion that ripped through their property in Stoke Newington.
  • George denied murder, claiming he had lost self-control, but the judge dismissed this defence due to overwhelming evidence of his aggressive and bullying behaviour towards Ms Rook.
  • A jury convicted George of murder after deliberating for two-and-a-half hours, and he is scheduled to be sentenced on 9 June.
