Cardiff youngster Theo Cabango was one of a number of debutants to turn heads against Toulouse last Saturday.
The jet-heeled 20-year-old flyer was on the wing and played his part in the attempts to cause the defending European champions problems.
Cabango made 52 metres with three carries in the match and his turn of pace was on display as he hared after kicks throughout the match.
Rob Vickerman, who captained England Sevens and enjoyed a six-year career in XVs, was at the game working as a pundit.
Speaking on the Brian Moore Full Contact podcast, he picked Cabango out as one that impressed, comparing his speed to World Cup-winning Springbok Cheslin Kolbe.
"A lad called Theo Cabango on the wing, a tiny little lad," said Vickerman. "He's got a lot of development to do, having been thrown in as a youngster.
"But he got the ball two or three times and he looked Kolbe-quick. Electric.
"Fingers crossed he develops nicely."
Cardiff were right up against it in the match and the likes of Cabango were only involved due to 42 players being unavailable due to the majority of the side being stuck in hotel quarantine and injuries.
He was one of 11 players making their debut at the Arms Park, some semi-professional players and other academy prospects, and Toulouse's might told in the end.
Antoine Dupont starred as the visitors ran out comfortable 39-7 victors but those who did take the field for the Blue and Blacks can be proud of their efforts.
"Do you know what? It was amazing," Vickerman said of the occasion. "It was fantastic because every single on of the supporters were almost backs to the walls themselves.
"Every single aspect of the game was getting encouraged and cheered on.
"Any penalty that went against Toulouse, any knock on that was committed was celebrated like a victory.
"It was so galvanising to hear that type of energy in there. Everybody knew they were coming into it with 42 players unavailable and the nonsense that has been going on around actually putting the game on.
"Fair play, they were there, they were committed and it got on. It was remarkable and then Josh Adams scored to give them a 7-6 lead.
"What a fantastic atmosphere. It was cathartic if nothing else."
