Police have issued an appeal for information after an elderly woman had her handbag snatched from her near a bus stop in Stockport.
The victim - aged in her 70s - was left 'shaken' after the incident on Wellington Road North. A man approached her at around 2.25pm yesterday (Sunday) and stole her bag, police said.
The woman was left with minor injuries, police added. The incident happened near the bus stop across the road from the Trivelles Mayfair hotel.

Police said the offender had been described as an Eastern European/Asian male, with thick, black, straight hair. He was around 6ft tall and of average build.
He is reported to have been wearing dark trousers, a light colour hooded jacket with a black pattern on it and black shoes with white laces and a white tread. Officers are appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch.
They would also like to speak to a 'Good Samaritan' who returned the victim's bag to her. PC Jenkinson of GMP’s Stockport district said: "A good Samaritan returned the victim’s bag to her but didn’t leave any contact details.
"We believe they may have information that could aid our investigation and are appealing for them to get in touch. Likewise anyone else with information about this case should call 0161 856 9829 quoting incident number 1573 of 04/12/2022."
