An elderly man has tragically died after a single-vehicle crash in Co Cork.
It's believed the pensioner, in his 70s, had a heart attack while driving in Skibbereen on Saturday evening, Cork Beo reports.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.
A garda spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí in Skibbereen attended a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision, this evening 24th of August, at approximately 6pm.
"A male in his seventies was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem will determine the course of a Garda investigation."
