An elderly man who was hit by a van in Dublin last month has died in hospital.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road at around 6.50am on Wednesday, January 19.
The man, aged in his 80s, was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he died on February 11.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
Anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage from around the time of the crash is asked to contact gardai.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai at Mountjoy are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling along the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road between 6.40am and 7.15am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, are asked to make this footage available to gardai.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8601, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
