An elderly man has been arrested as Gardai seize cocaine worth an estimated €35,000 and €140,000 cash following a search operation in North Dublin.
Gardai investigated the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kilmore Area, Dublin 5, Saturday 8 May 2021.
Gardai from Ballymun and Clontarf attached to the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit, searched a house on Kilbarron Avenue, Dublin 5 under warrant.
One man aged in his 60s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.

This comes after a woman was also arrested as Gardai seized €72,000 worth of a suspected Cannabis herb in the Kilmore area.
The 37-year-old was arrested on 5 May, 2021.
The ongoing investigation is targeting organised crime groups operating in the Kilmore area.
A joint intelligence led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit, and the Revenue Customs Service.
During the course of this operation, suspected cannabis herb with an estimated value of €72,000 was seized by Customs officers.
Gardai arrested the female at the scene and she was detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Ballymun Garda Station.
She has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
